Environmental Responsibility – We take our obligation to do everything we can to preserve our environment very seriously. Our efforts go beyond the legal requirements for sustainable, ecological development. For example, Gastro-Cool is considered a pioneer in the industry when it comes to using environmentally friendly refrigerants, a fact we are proud of. As one of the first companies, we adopted the use of Isobutane (R600a)as a refrigerant and consistently use it for the production of all cooling devices. Isobutane is a natural gas with high environmental compatibility, and its use is an important part of our environmentally conscious approach. Refurbishing (the reconditioning of used appliances) and the professional, environmentally responsible disposal of old devices are additional important services that reflect Gastro-Cool’s ecological orientation. It is also a matter of course for us to fulfill our obligation to take back and recycle transport packaging in accordance with the Packaging Ordinance (VerpackV).
